24/8 Mamba Forever.
I had the privilege to work on the tribute poster of Kobe Bryant during the "Mamba Day", on 8.24.2020. The initiative was taken and organized by Double Clutch. They asked to 8 illustrators and designers to design a poster dedicated to Kobe Bryant.
Kobe is my favourite all-time player and my emotional involvement doesn't stop there. He inspires me every day. So I tried to do my best to design a great poster in his memory and this is the final result:

I wanted to transmit the extreme dynamism that he had on the court, so I started from a photo of him while he was dunking. I also split the space in two, like the numbers who wore 8 and 24 and in the same time to suggest his dualism: the instinct of the Black Mamba and the knowledge of the game.
This is little work in progress of the design.
Heroes come and go but legends are forever.
